# Privacy Policy for CkPool Miner

This Privacy Policy describes how CkPool Miner ("we", "our", or "the app") handles user information.

### 1. Overview and Core Purpose

CkPool Miner is a telemetry and statistics monitoring application designed for Bitcoin miners who use the public mining pool Solo CKPool (https://solo.ckpool.org).

The app does NOT mine cryptocurrency on your device, does not utilize device hardware (CPU/GPU) for hashing, and does not require or store cryptocurrency private keys or access to any cryptocurrency funds.

### 2. Information We Collect and How It Is Used

- **Bitcoin Addresses:** When you enter a public Bitcoin address to view its statistics, this address is used solely to query the public API at `raw.stats.ckpool.org`. Addresses are saved locally on your device (using Android SharedPreferences) for your convenience and are never transmitted to our servers.

- **No Personal Identifiable Information (PII):** We do not require registration, accounts, passwords, names, physical addresses, or phone numbers.

### 3. Third-Party Services and Advertising

CkPool Miner utilizes Google AdMob to display advertisements. Google AdMob may collect and use certain data, including:

- Device identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID / GAID)

- IP addresses and network connection information

- Performance and interaction metrics with advertisements

### 4. Device Permissions

- **INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE:** Required to fetch live mining data from Solo CKPool and serve advertisements.

- **POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+):** Used exclusively to send local alerts to the user when a miner reaches a new Best Share record. You may revoke this permission at any time in Android Settings.

### 5. Data Retention and Deletion

Since we do not store any personal user data on external servers, clearing the app's cache and data or uninstalling the app will permanently erase all locally saved addresses and preferences from your device.

### 6. Security

All communication between the app and Solo CKPool or Google services occurs exclusively over secure, encrypted HTTPS/TLS protocols.

### 7. Children's Privacy

The app does not knowingly collect or solicit personal data from children under the age of 13.
